March Dental Promotion - Keep Your Pet’s Smile Healthy !
Good dental health is vital to your pet’s overall well-being. In fact, dental disease is one of the most common issues we see, affecting 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three. It begins with plaque buildup, which hardens into tartar and can lead to painful periodontal disease and long-term health problems.
The good news? Preventive care—such as brushing, dental chews, treats, and special diets—can help maintain healthy teeth and gums. However, once tartar builds up, professional veterinary care is necessary. A full dental procedure under general anesthesia includes scaling, polishing, x-rays, and, if needed, extractions to restore your pet’s oral health.
Exclusive March Offer: 20% Off entire bill for all Dental Procedures!
This limited-time offer includes:
✔ A full scale and polish
✔ A comprehensive oral examination
✔ Dental x-rays
✔ Extractions (if required)
✔ A take-home dental care kit for ongoing maintenance
To take advantage of this offer, your pet will first need a complimentary dental check-up with one of our vets. Following the exam, we’ll provide a treatment plan and schedule any necessary procedures.

Think Before You Treat - The Reality Of Chocolate Toxicity In Pets
With Easter around the corner, chocolate treats will soon fill our homes. While these sweet treats bring joy to us, they pose a serious risk to our furry friends if they manage to sneak a bite!
Chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine, both of which are toxic to dogs and cats.
The darker the chocolate, the higher the theobromine content—and therefore the greater the danger.
Dark and baking chocolate are especially hazardous, while milk chocolate also carries significant risk, particularly for smaller pets. Even white chocolate, though lower in theobromine, can still be harmful, so it’s best to keep all chocolate out of reach.
How Chocolate Affects Pets
Symptoms of chocolate poisoning may take 6 to 12 hours to appear, but once ingested, the toxic substances begin to absorb within just 2 hours. This makes early intervention critical. If caught in time, we can administer an injection to induce vomiting before the toxins take effect.
Signs of Chocolate Toxicity in Pets:
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Excessive thirst
- Panting or rapid breathing
- Irregular heart rate (fast or slow)
- Restlessness
- Muscle tremors or spasms
- Elevated body temperature (hyperthermia)
- Seizures
- Coma
If left untreated, chocolate toxicity can be fatal. Toxicity depends on your pet’s weight, type of chocolate and how much chocolate they’ve consumed, so if an accident happens, try to note the type and amount of chocolate eaten, and keep the packaging for reference. Immediate veterinary care is essential.
